Pogaru, starring Dhruva Sarja and Rashmika Mandanna, will be hitting the screens on April 24. An official announcement is expected from the makers after the film is certified by the censor board.

Directed by Nanda Kishore, Pogaru is in the final stages of shooting. A song is currently being shot in a huge set in Chennai. This will be followed by Dhruva's intro sequence and song shoot in Hyderabad from March 10.

Meanwhile, post-production work is on in full swing, with V Harikrishna working on the background score. The film’s songs are composed by Chandan Shetty.

Dhurva Sarja was last seen in Bharjari, in September 2017, while Rashmika Mandanna’s last release in Kannada was last year's Yajanmana.

Produced by BK Gangadhar, Pogaru has Mayuri, Ravi Shankar, Chikkanna, and Kuri Pratap playing pivotal roles. The film also features Dhananjay as the antagonist.

Pogaru has cinematography by Vijay Milton, and the highlight of the film will be the climax where Dhruva faces off the bodybuilders Kai Greene, Morgan Aste, Johan Lucas, and Jo Linder.
