Vidya Balan starts shooting for Amit Masurkar’s Sherni

On occasion of World Wildlife Day, Vidya Balan has started shooting for her upcoming film, Sherni. The National Award-winning actor took to Instagram to share pictures of the first clap. 

Sherni marks the third feature film by director Amit Masurkar. His last film, Newton (2017), was selected as India’s official entry for the 90th Academy Awards. He also directed the 2013 slacker-comedy Sulemani Keeda

Sherni is written by Aastha Tiku and co-produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment. 

Vidya Balan was last seen in Mission Mangal. She also had a cameo appearance in Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of Pink. Vidya’s upcoming film is Shakuntala Devi - Human Computer. Directed by Anu Menon, the biopic also stars Sanya Malhotra, Jisshu Sengupta, and Amit Sadh.
