R Madhavan has responded to rumours of Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein getting a sequel. Released in 2001, the romantic drama paired Madhavan with Dia Mirza in her debut role. The film, which also starred Saif Ali Khan, has grown a cult following over the years.

Madhavan wrote on Twitter that he has ‘no idea’ about the sequel but hopes someone has an age-appropriate script for him and Dia. He added that adding that playing Madhav now would be an impossible task for him.

Recent reports had suggested that a sequel to RHTDM is in the works. In an earlier Instagram Live session with Madhavan, Dia had also hinted at a possible sequel. “We are doing our best to make it happen, but we will only work together when we can give our best,” she had said.
