It's official. Malayalam's first direct OTT release Sufiyum Sujathayum will be hitting Amazon Prime video on July 3. The Vijay Babu production, directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas, is being touted as a romantic drama starring Jayasurya and Aditi Rao Hydari as the two main characters. 

This is the fourth Indian film to be released directly on Prime Video following Gulabo Sitabo, Ponmaghal Vandhal, and Penguin. It was shot by cinematographer Anu Moothedath and edited by Deepu Joseph. The music in the film is composed by M Jayachandran from lyrics penned by Hari Narayan and sung by Sudeep Palanad.

Sufiyum Sujathayum marks the return of Aditi Rao Hydari to Malayalam cinema after 13 years. Her last Malayalam film was Prajapathi (2006), starring Mammootty.
