An unidentified person has reportedly issued a bomb threat to Rajinikanth today. According to Thanthi News, Chennai police received a phone call saying that a bomb has been planted at the residence of Rajinikanth at Poes Garden.

Following the threat, the police immediately conducted a search operation at the actor's house with the help of sniffer dogs and bomb detectors. This resulted in a great ruckus at Poes Garden with fans of Rajini and the general public gathering amid the coronavirus scare in the city. It was later revealed by the authorities that the news is a hoax and nothing was found at Rajinikanth’s residence. Police are currently on the hunt to find out who made the call.

On the work front, Rajini has Annaatthe, directed by Siva in his kitty. The film co-starring Nayanthara, Khushboo, Meena and Keerthy Suresh is scheduled to hit the screens next Pongal.
