The two-day trial shoot of SS Rajamouli's upcoming period action drama RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram) stands cancelled due to spike in Coronavirus cases across Hyderabad, say reports.

The team, which had planned the shoot with dupes to analyse the limited working conditions of the crew amidst Covid-19 guidelines set by the Government of Telangana, has decided to suspend it amid growing concerns over the pandemic.

The team has wrapped up 75 per cent of the shoot and was supposed to begin a new schedule in April with Bollywood actors joining the sets in May. However, the plan was suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Set in the pre-independence era, RRR showcases Jr NTR and Ram Charan as Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetha Ramaraju, respectively. The film, which was scheduled to release on January 8, 2021, also features Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Samuthirakani in crucial roles.
