Kangana Ranaut blasts Bollywood over Sushant Singh Rajput’s death: He wasn’t acknowledged

In a new video shared by her team, Kangana Ranaut shared her thoughts on the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput. Speaking in Hindi, Kangana said the actor’s death has left everyone shaken, but some people are trying to spin a ‘parallel narrative’ by pinning his suicide on his mental fortitude.

“Can a guy who had a Stanford scholarship and was a rank holder be weak of mind?” she asked in the video, adding that the industry’s treatment of the actor must be taken into account. “Why wasn’t his debut performance acknowledged with an award? A rubbish film like Gully Boy gets all the awards but a Chhichhore, made by the best director (Nitesh Tiwari), can’t be acknowledged?”

Kangana then hit out at ‘lapdog journalists’ writing blind items on Sushant’s life. She said the same people have been texting her now, telling her not to take such steps. “Why are you putting thoughts of suicide in my head?” she asked. “Was (Sushant’s death) suicide or planned murder?”

Towards the end, she said that Sushant’s fault was that he believed those who called him worthless. “They want to write him off as someone who was mentally weak. But who will write that history? We will decide that.”
