Suriya's 24 to get a sequel

Director Vikram Kumar's 2015 time travel film, 24, starring Suriya and Samantha in the lead, ended with a cliffhanger, teasing a potential sequel. Vikram who spoke to a Tamil cinema YouTube channel recently revealed that he is penning the script for the much-awaited sequel.

"Even before the release of 24, Suriya sir and I were thinking about a sequel. But we told ourselves that we would make it only when we got the perfect story. I am working on the script now. When I'm satisfied with it, I will pitch it to Suriya sir," he said. 

Vikram refrained from revealing anything more about the storyline or the team of the sequel.

Also starring Saranya Ponvannan, Nithya Menen, and Sathyan, 24 won the National award for Best Cinematography and Best Production Design.
