After helping hundreds of migrants reach home, actor Sonu Sood has joined hands with designer Kulsum Shadab Wahab to help daily wagers and domestic violence victims.

Kulsum, who is the executive director of Hothur Foundation, has been working for the cause of acid attack survivors and underprivileged people and children. In the past, she has collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation to support acid attack survivors.

To help domestic violence victims, Hothur Foundation has started the Victory Over Violence campaign, which showcases brave women narrating their stories. Sonu is helping the foundation in raising awareness for domestic abuse victims who have suffered during the lockdown.

“We are providing support to daily wagers who are worst hit because of the lockdown,” Sonu says. “Even domestic abuse has increased with many spending time at home. We want to help those in need.”

“Victory over Violence will help women who are stuck in their household feel encouraged when they hear other women tell their stories,” Kulsum adds. “Sonu has been a great support and his work for migrants is commendable. I am sure a lot of people who are in need of help will benefit from this collaboration.”
