Producer Ekta Kapoor has broken her silence on the controversy surrounding her recent web-series XXX 2. Earlier this week, several complaints were lodged against the producer for allegedly disrespecting Indian soldiers in an episode of the ALTBalaji show.

The complaints were accompanied by strong social media outrage and threats.

Speaking to journalist-author Shobha De about the issue, Ekta said in a video, "As an individual and as an organization we are deeply respectful towards the Indian army. Their contribution to our well being and security is immense. We have already deleted the scene that is being spoken about so action has been taken from our side. What we don’t appreciate is the bullying and the rape threats by the trolls.”
