Veteran singer LR Easwari, who is known for singing several Amman songs, has sung a number for RJ Balaji’s Mookuthi Amman. The singer will also make an appearance in the film for that song. Easwari was spotted in the working stills that RJ Balaji had shared recently. Notably, the last Tamil song she sang was for RJ Balaji’s LKG. 

Directed by Balaji and NJ Saravanan, Mookuthi Amman features Nayanthara playing a goddess. Apart from Balaji and Nayanthara, the film also stars Moulee, Urvashi, and Smruthi Venkat, with cameo appearances by Indhuja and Yaashika Anand.  

Mookuthi Amman is produced by Vels Film International. Shooting for the film was completed before the pandemic and post-production is currently underway. The makers have confirmed that the film will not have a direct digital release.
