We had previously reported that director Mysskin will likely be teaming up with Arun Vijay for the sequel to his sophomore film, Anjathe (2008). It is now known that this project will not be a sequel to the Narain-Prasanna-starrer, but rather, a cop film. Mysskin is currently working on the script of this film.

Interestingly, Prasanna, who gave a memorable performance as the antagonist in Anjathey, recently shared screen space with Arun Vijay in Mafia.

In a recent interview, Mysskin also confirmed that he has completed the script for a horror film, titled Kaavu, which will mark his second film in the genre after 2014's Pisasu. In the same interview, the director also confirmed that he had discussed a film with Simbu before the lockdown. This untitled film is expected to go on floors next year, and it is also said to star Vadivelu in a never-before-seen role.
