Last month, actor-dancer Raghava Lawrence announced that he will play the lead role in Chandramuki 2. The horror-comedy film will be directed by P Vasu and produced by Kalanathi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The rest of the cast and crew details are yet to be announced.

Earlier, there were speculations that Jyotika, who starred in the original, might play the lead role in the upcoming film. However, Jyotika denied such claims as well.
