Bollywood composer Wajid Khan passed away today in Mumbai. He was 42. Actor Salman Khan, who shared a long-standing professional relationship with the Sajid-Wajid duo, paid his tributes on social media.

Sajid-Wajid began their composing career with Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya (1998). The film would start a long association with Salman, which included popular movies like Hello Brother, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Tere Naam, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Dabangg, Dabangg 3, and others. Most recently, the duo collaborated with Salman on the songs Pyaar Karona and Bhai Bhai during the lockdown.

Shreya Ghoshal, who has frequently worked with the composer, wrote, “It feels unreal... Wajid bhai, I close my eyes and only see your smiling face. I pray that wherever you are, you are resting in peace. May god give strength to the family. This goodbye is too difficult. RIP.”
