The first look poster of Vetrimaaran's Vaadi Vaasal, starring Suriya in the lead was launched on the actor's birthday. We also know that the actor had announced a film starring Soori in the lead and a project titled Ajnabi. 

Latest speculations state that the director might join hands with his favourite actor Dhanush for the fifth time, before going ahead with the Soori film and Vaadi Vaasal. It is also speculated that the film will be produced by Elred Kumar under his banner RS Infotainment. An official confirmation about the project is expected soon from the makers. 

Meanwhile, Dhanush, whose Jagame Thandhiram's release got postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak, has films like Karnan, Atrangi Re and his second directorial in various stages of production.
