First look of Suriya's next with Vetri Maaran, Vaadi Vasal, out 

The film, produced by S Dhanu's V Creations, will reportedly be based on the Tamil novel of the same name, written by the great Tamil writer CS Chellappa

The first look of Vaadi Vasal, Suriya's upcoming film with director Vetri Maaran, has been released on the occasion of the actor's birthday.

Suriya is seen sporting a new hairdo, and wearing a black vest and a tiger-toothed necklet in the poster.

The film, produced by S Dhanu's V Creations, will reportedly be based on the Tamil novel of the same name, written by the great Tamil writer CS Chellappa. Vetri had notably acquired the rights for adapting the novel as early as 2017. The film is said to be based on the jallikattu sport.

GV Prakash Kumar, a frequent collaborator of Vetrimaaran. will be composing the music for Vaadi Vasal, which will incidentally be his 75th project. Except for Vada Chennai, GV Prakash has been the music director for all the other directorial ventures of Vetri Maaran including the filmmaker’s debut film, Polladhavan

Vaadi Vasal brings together Vetri Maaran and Suriya for the first time. The former has also signed a film starring comedian Soori. Suriya, meanwhile, is awaiting the release of Soorarai Pottru. He also has another film with director Siva in the offing, which will be bankrolled by Studio Green productions.
