It is known that filmmakers Vetri Maaran, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Sudha Kongara, and Vignesh Shivan are collaborating on an anthology for Netflix about honour killing, each helming a short for the same.

Recently, reports claimed that Ashwin Kakamanu was part of Gautham’s segment in the anthology. However, the Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara actor has clarified that he is not part of the project. “Wanted to say that while I look forward to the opportunity of working with Gautham Menon again, I am not part of his anthology for Netflix. I think it was confused with my role in the Telugu anthology for Netflix. Hope this clarifies things,” he tweeted.

Notably, the actor made his film debut with Gautham’s Nadunisi Naaygal. Currently, he is part of the ensemble cast for Mani Ratnam’s period drama, Ponniyin Selvan. The actor also has the delayed Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai in the pipeline.
