Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, actor and wife of Abishek Bachchan, and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan have tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier in the day, after Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that the mother-daughter duo had tested negative in their swab report.

However, the BMC commissioner has now revealed that Aishwarya and Aaradhya have tested positive in their second test. Amitabh's wife Jaya Bachchan has tested negative in the antigen test.

BMC officials have sealed and sanitised the Bachchan residence after Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan were admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati hospital. The PRO of the hospital has released a statement saying Amitabh is stable with mild symptoms.

Both Amitabh and Abhishek have tested positive in their second confirmatory test too. Abhishek had requested his Twitter followers to stay calm while informing them about his health.

"Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you," the Breathe into the shadows actor tweeted.
