Jude Law is in talks to play Captain Hook in the upcoming live-action film, Peter Pan & Wendy, helmed by director David Lowery. 

Lowery, popular for his work in Pete's Dragon, also co-wrote the script with Toby Halbrooks. Reports suggest that the film is likely to be released in theatres and not digitally.

Based on JM Barrie's novel, the story follows a boy named Peter Pan, who does not age, and the children whom he whisks away to the magical world of Neverland. Dustin Hoffman, Jason Isaacs and Garrett Hedlund are some of the actors who have played the classic villain in previous retellings of the story.

Law is also set to reprise his role as Dumbledore in the next instalment of Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
