Dhanush’s Jagame Thandiram to get a digital release?

CE Features

With theatres shut for several months now due to the coronavirus pandemic, several Tamil films have recently opted for direct OTT releases. Dhanush’s Jagame Thandiram might soon join this list.

Reports say that Netflix has approached the film's production house, Y Not Studios, but the makers were not sure if Dhanush would agree for a digital release. However, speculation now suggests that Dhanush has given the go ahead for a digital release, allegedly saying that the producer’s profit is important.

If it works out, this might be the first big Tamil film headlined by a male star to have a direct digital release.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Jagame Thandiram also stars Aiswarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Sanchana Natrajan, Kalaiarasan, and James Cosmo. The film has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
