Brad Pitt has signed a new film called Bullet Train, which will be directed by David Leitch, known for his film Hobbs & Shaw. The upcoming assassin thriller is based on a Japanese novel called Maria Beetle, written by Kotaro Isaka.

According to reports, the film's tone will be similar to Keanu Reeves's popular film Speed and Liam Neeson's Non-Stop. The film also belongs to the sub-genre of contained thriller, which means it happens in a small setting. This will also aid the filmmakers in following safety measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

It is said that the makers are working relentlessly on the project in order to start shooting by the fall of this year.

Pitt earlier made a cameo in Leitch's Deadpool 2, and the director has been the stunt double of Pitt Ocean's Eleven and Troy.
