Ajay Devgn Ffilms and Select Media Holdings LLP have announced a film on the recent Galwan Valley clash in Ladakh. The film will honour the sacrifice of 20 Indian soldiers of the 16th Bihar Regiment, including its commanding officer Colonel Santosh Babu.

On 15 June, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a face-off with Chinese troops in the Galwan valley of Ladakh. It was the first violent clash between the countries since the 1975 firings across the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

“20 of our brothers laid their lives to assert the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our motherland. It is their story,” the makers said in a press note. The cast and other crew are under finalisation. It is not clear if Ajay will be starring in the film.

Ajay Devgn Ffilms and Select Media Holdings LLP have also produced Bhuj: The Pride of India, another war film set during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, which is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.
