Madhuri Dixit mourns Saroj Khan’s demise: I'm devastated by the loss of my friend and guru

Madhuri Dixit has mourned the demise of veteran choreographer Saroj Khan. The duo had collaborated on numerous iconic songs, including Ek Do Teen, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga, Dola Re Dola and others. In 2019, Saroj choreographed Madhuri Dixit for Tabha Ho Gaye on Kalank.

“I'm devastated by the loss of my friend and guru, Saroj Khan,” Madhuri tweeted. “Will always be grateful for her work in helping me reach my full potential in dance. The world has lost an amazingly talented person. I will miss you. My sincere condolences to the family. RIP Sarojji.”

Saroj Khan died of a cardiac arrest in Mumbai today. She was 71. She was admitted to the ICU at Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra on June 20 after she complained of breathing issues. She had tested negative for Covid-19 at the hospital. Saroj is survived by her husband B. Sohanlal, son Hamid Khan and daughters Hina Khan and Sukaina Khan. Her last rites were performed at Malvani in Malad today.
