As a tribute to Saroj Khan, who passed away aged 71 on Friday, Madhuri Dixit’s online dance academy Dance With Madhuri has changed its profile picture in her honour. The academy also shared an old clip of Madhuri rehearsing with Saroj.

Madhuri and Saroj had collaborated on numerous hit songs including Ek Do Teen, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga, Dola Re Dola and others. In 2019, the duo reunited for Tabha Ho Gaye on Kalank, the last song to be choreographed by Saroj.

“I'm devastated by the loss of my friend and guru, Saroj Khan,” Madhuri tweeted today morning. “Will always be grateful for her work in helping me reach my full potential in dance. The world has lost an amazingly talented person. I will miss you. My sincere condolences to the family. RIP Saroj ji.”
