Shahid Kapoor’s blockbuster Kabir Singh completed one year on June 21. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film was the official Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy

Recently, Kabir Singh's music album crossed one billion streams on JioSaavn. The eclectic album featured a range of artists including Sachet Tandon, Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Mishra, Arijit Singh, Parampara Thakur, Armaan Malik, Jubin Nautiyal, Tulsi Kumar and Akhil Sachdeva.

The songs were penned by Irshad Kamil, Manoj Muntashir, Mithoon and Kumaar. The film had shared the Best Music Director award with Gully Boy at the 65th Filmfare Awards. 

“To all those who gave so much overwhelming love to such a complex, conflicted character. Thank you. Kabir Singh was never just a film to me. It was an emotional arc that was raw, bare, unabashed, honest, fearless... REAL!” Shahid had previously shared.

The actor essays a cricketer in his upcoming film Jersey. The film is a remake of the 2019 Telugu hit of the same name, starring Nani.
