The official trailer of Taapsee Pannu's upcoming film, Thappad has been released. Helmed by Mulk and Article 15 director Anubhav Sinha, Thappad is another attempt by the filmmaker to show the realities of the society. Taapsee Pannu plays the lead role of Amrita, a wife who moves court to seek divorce after her husband slaps her at a party.

The film's trailer shows Amu (Taapsee) seeking a divorce after her husband (Pavail Gulati) slaps her in front of everyone at a party. The people around her consider the issue trivial, asking Amu to forgive her husband. Amu, however, fights back.

Thappad is set to hit screens on February 28.
