Arun Vijay’s Thadam goes to Bollywood: Sidharth Malhotra to play the lead

CE Features

Sidharth Malhotra is gearing up to act in the Hindi remake of the Tamil thriller, Thadam, which had Arun Vijay in the lead role. Directed by Magizh Tirumeni, the film was released last year and was well-received by the audience.

Now, the film is getting remade in Hindi, and it will be directed by Vardhan Ketkar, who has earlier worked in Brothers, Kapoor & Sons, and Mubarakan

A source close to the development revealed, “Sidharth plays a double role for the first time in his career. He will be seen as a businessman and a small-time thief/gambler always looking to make a quick buck. The film is currently in the pre-production phase and the team is working towards creating two distinct looks for Sidharth.”

The film is set to go on floors in June. Meanwhile, Sidharth has already wrapped up his upcoming movie Shershaah, a biopic of Vikram Batra, and will start shooting for Indra Kumar’s next, which will star Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
