CE Features

Chinmayi Sripada, who was removed from the dubbing union in 2018, has filed nominations to contest for the post of President in the body's upcoming election. The famous singer and voice actor will be contesting opposite Radha Ravi, who was reportedly the reason behind her expulsion.

Chinmayi began to face heat after she started voicing stories of MeToo survivors and made public the sexual harassment allegations on celebrities like Vairamuthu, Radha Ravi, and singer Karthik from various women.

Though the court had announced a stay for Chinmayi's expulsion from the union and insisted the body to enroll her again, her name has reportedly been missing in the voters list for the upcoming election and this has encouraged her to file a nomination for the President's position.

It may be noted that Chinmayi, who was denied offers post her expulsion from the dubbing union, dubbed for Samantha in the Tamil version of Oh Baby and Kalyani Priyadarshan in Sivakarthikeyan's Hero
