Release of Mark Wahlberg-Tom Holland's Uncharted adaptation pushed to 2021

The release of Sony's Uncharted adaptation starring Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland has been pushed to March 5, 2021. It was initially supposed to be released on December 18 this year.

This delay is a result of the exit of Travis Knight as director from the movie adaptation of the video game of the same name.

While a replacement has not been officially named, it is reported that Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer is Sony's top choice. The screenplay for the adaptation has been written by Rafe Judkins and the Iron Man team of Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

The game revolves around the adventures of a hunter named Nathan Drake, who is played by Holland. This movie version is a prequel of sorts and will establish how Nathan became the hunter, and will also introduce his dear friend Sully (Wahlberg).
