The Tamil remake of Sriram Raghavan's Bollywood film Andhadhun, which stars Prashanth in the lead, has a director on board now. The film will be helmed by Mohan Raja, and the Thani Oruvan director has reportedly completed the scripting work.

Thiagarajan, Prashanth's father, who will be producing the remake, recently said in an interview that the pre-production work is almost over, and the film will go on floors in February. The veteran actor-director had also said that he was in Mumbai recently to discuss the remake with Sriram Raghavan and Mohan Raja.

Incidentally, Prashanth was last seen in Johnny (2018), the Tamil remake of Sriram Raghavan's Johnny Gaddar (2007). This will thus be the second remake of the Bollywood director's film to feature the Jeans actor.

Andhadhun, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte, won multiple National Awards. It was also screened in countries like China, Korea, and Japan, and was loved by audiences the world over.
