Prasanna, who was widely reported to be a part of Valimai, Ajith Kumar's next with director H Vinoth, has clarified that he is not a part of the film, despite him being approached.

Prasanna posted a note on Twitter with this clarification. "I was equally thrilled that the talks were on, and was hoping to make the biggest announcement in my career, ever. But unfortunately, this wonderful opportunity to share the screen with our Thala isn't happening this time," he said.
 

The Hyderabad and Chennai schedules of Valimai, which has music by Yuvan, have been completed. The film, featuring Ajith as a cop again, after Gautham Vasudev Menon's Yennai Arindhaal, will be a Diwali 2020 release.
