After the success of Nerkonda Paarvai, Ajith has again joined hands with its director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor for his 60th film, which has been titled as Valimai. While Bollywood actor Yami Gautam is said to play the female lead in Valimai, reports are now rife that Prasanna has joined the cast.

However, when a netizen tweeted asking Prasanna if he's a part of Valimai, the actor replied saying "Not yet. Waiting for confirmation," indicating that he might have been part of a recent screen-test. An official announcement in this regard is expected.

The Hyderabad and Chennai schedules of Valimai, which has Ajith playing a cop, have been completed. This will be Ajith's first cop film since Gautham Vasudev Menon's Yennai Arindhaal.

Producer Boney Kapoor recently confirmed that Valimai will be a Diwali 2020 release.

The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Nirav Shah, and art direction by Thotta Tharani.
