The Tamil Nadu government has issued a statement allowing the early morning shows of Rajinikanth’s Darbar, which is set for worldwide release tomorrow. Earlier, there was confusion among fans over whether or not theatres would hold special shows for the film.

According to the statement, multiplexes and single-screen theatres can hold special screenings of Darbar for four days — January 9, 10, 11, and 13.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, Darbar has Rajinikanth playing a cop after several years. The film also stars Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, and Suniel Shetty. Produced by Lyca Productions, the action-drama has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
