Arvind Swami to play the villain in Simbu-Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu?

CE Features

Arvind Swami, who was recently seen in Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, might play the primary antagonist in Maanaadu, Simbu’s upcoming film with Venkat Prabhu.

While it was first announced that Sudeep will play the villain, reports now suggest that the Naragsooran actor might be roped in. If everything goes to plan, this will be the second film starring Simbu and Arvind together after Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

After much controversy, the makers recently clarified that the project has not been dropped and will go on floors this month. Simbu was reported to be training in preparation for the same as well.

Apart from Simbu, Maanaadu will star Kalyani Priyadarshan, who recently made her Tamil debut with Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be in charge of music for the project. The composer recently confirmed that he has begun working on it.
