We had previously reported that Nayanthara is playing the titular role in Mookuthi Amman, which went on floors in the last week of November. It's now known that Indhuja will be playing a cameo in the film. Incidentally, both of them were seen recently in Vijay's Bigil, in which Indhuja was one of the footballers and Nayanthara played a physiotherapist.

RJ Balaji, who is directing Mookuthi Amman along with NJ Saravanan, is also playing a lead role in the film. It was initially speculated that the film would be a satirical comedy, but RJ Balaji revealed that Mookuthi Amman is a devotional film and will be a 'treat for the family audience'. It is said that the makers will wrap up the shoot in one go in Nagercoil.

While Indhuja will next be seen in Vijay Antony's Khaki, Nayanthara has the Rajinikanth-starrer Darbar set for release this Thursday. The latter also has Netrikann in the offing.
