The filmmakers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe love bringing the biggest of stars into the franchise. The latest star who has been approached is Christian Bale. The actor is reportedly in talks to join Marvel’s Thor: Love & Thunder, but the character he will play is being kept under wraps.

Incidentally, this will not be Christian Bale's first time in a comic adaptation as he had played Batman in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.

First announced at last July’s San Diego Comic-Con, Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled for release on November 5, 2021.

Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as the God of Thunder, with Natalie Portman's character Jane Foster taking on the mantle of Thor for this instalment. Taika Waititi will return as the director following 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, with Tessa Thompson also expected to return as Valkyrie.
