Pa Ranjith’s next to go on floors soon

Set in North Chennai, the film has been titled Salpetta and will have Arya playing the male lead

Pa Ranjith was recently in the news for producing Athiyan Athirai’s Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu. And now, it looks like the filmmaker’s own film is about to go on floors soon. Tamizh Prabha, in a social media post, has announced that he has collaborated with Pa Ranjith for the screenplay and dialogues of the director's next film. The author, known for his novel Pettai, has also mentioned that shooting for the film will begin soon. 

While more details about this project are unknown, this could be the boxing film that Ranjith was speculated to make. Set in North Chennai, the film has been titled Salpetta and will have Arya playing the male lead.

Meanwhile, Ranjith announced five projects under his Neelam Productions banner directed by Lenin Bharathi, Mari Selvaraj, Akiran Moses, Franklin Jacob, and Suresh Mari.
