CE Features

The sequel to 2016 superhero film, Doctor Strange, titled Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, will introduce "new and unexpected characters" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced this in a recent event where he also added that some of these unexpected characters "cannot be guessed."

The sequel is directed by Scott Derrickson, who helmed the first film as well. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is said to have scary sequences and will apparently draw inspiration from some classics of the 1980s, such as Steven Spielberg's Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, among others.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role and with Elizabeth Olsen reprising her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, the film will hit screens on May 7, 2021.
