First look of Vikram-starrer Cobra released

CE Features

Vikram's first look from Cobra, his upcoming film with Imaikka Nodigal-director Ajay Gnanamuthu, was revealed today by AR Rahman, who is composing the music of the film.

Over the past two days, other posters were released featuring the silhouette of a beefed-up Vikram, with a hairstyle reminiscent of his Anniyan days.

Today's poster of Cobra delivers its share of intrigue. It features a backshot of Vikram, acing a man bun, looking at his other avatars — a coder, a priest, a politician, a businessman, a scientist, and a man in retro look. In the background, the poster also features codes, equations, and maps. So, could it be that Vikram is playing an agent who wears multiple disguises for his missions? Or is this the Indian version of Split?

Cobra also stars KGF-fame Srinidhi Shetty and cricketer Irfan Pathan in their Tamil debuts. It has cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan and is produced by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio.

After completing a schedule in Kolkata, the crew will reportedly be flying to Russia for their next schedule. Cobra is scheduled for release this May.

Meanwhile, Vikram has Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and Gautham Menon’s long-delayed Dhruva Natchathiram in different stages of production.
