Anasuya to reprise Tabu's role in Andhadhun remake?

Anasuya Bharadwaj is the front-runner to reprise Tabu's character in the Telugu remake of the Hindi crime-thriller, Andhadhun. "Anasuya has been approached by director Merlapaka Gandhi for the part. She is thrilled with the offer and responded positively. However, the actor is yet to sign the dotted line," informs a source.

While Nithiin has been signed on to essay Ayushmann Khurrana's role, the lookout for a suitable actor to portray Radhika's character is underway. Produced under Sreshth Movies banner, the untitled Telugu remake was launched on Monday and the principal photography will begin in June. Nithiin's latest release, Bheeshma is roaring at the box-office with a collection of over Rs 22 crore (gross).

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Andhadhun featured Ayushmann, Tabu and Radhika Apte in the lead roles. The critically-acclaimed film has earned Ayushmann his first National Award for the Best Actor and also won the National Award for Best Hindi Film and Best Screenplay.
