Producers Karan Johar and Dinesh Vijan have exchanged the release dates of their upcoming films. Maddock Films’ Angrezi Medium will now release on March 13 in place of Gunjan Saxena, which is produced by Dharma Productions. The release of Gunjan Saxena, in turn, will happen on April 24, which was earlier slotted for Roohi Afza (also produced by Maddock). Roohi Azfa will now arrive on June 5, 2020. 

“Friendships in the fraternity are rare but when they exist ...they are empowering! Dinoo (Dinesh) and I have made an exchange of dates! Angrezi Medium will come a week earlier on the Gunjan Saxena date 13th of March 2020 and Gunjan Saxena takes the Roohi Afza date 24th April 2020,” Karan tweeted. 

Angrezi Medium is fronted by Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film is a spin-off of Hindi Medium (2017). Gunjan Saxena: The Kargirl Girl is a biographical-drama starring Janhvi Kapoor. Roohi Afza is a horror-comedy featuring Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma.
