The director is reportedly writing a new script for Allu Arjun

It's been a while since speculations started circulating that Surender Reddy and Varun Tej would be joining hands for a new film. The actor was expected to undergo a major transformation for it. But now, a source in the know informs Cinema Express that the film will not be going on floors after all.

The director apparently had apprehensions over the commercial viability of the Fidaa actor. "The film requires a huge budget and the director feels that it won't be a wise decision to shoot it with Varun. He is now writing another script for Allu Arjun. Even though Suri earned critical acclaim for his last directorial Syeraa Narasimha Reddy, the film turned out to be a disappointment at the box-office. So he wants to return to the commercial zone and will wait until Arjun wraps up his next under Sukumar's direction," informs the source.

Meanwhile, Varun has teamed up with debutant director Kiran Korrapati for a boxing drama, which will go on floors soon.
