Catherine Tresa turns down Balakrishna's film

The makers of Balakrishna Nandamuri's upcoming film, NBK 106 are struggling to get a top actor to play the female lead. Reports suggest that director Boyapati Sreenu approached his Sarrinodu actor, Catherine Tresa, for the role, but she turned it down.

"Catherine wants to play roles that suit her age and her image. So she has decided to turn down the role, which would have had her playing an IAS officer, who is also a mother to a child. Catherine felt that the audience would not accept her in that role. However, Boyapati is still trying to convince her," informs a source.

The film recently ran into trouble after its producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy, Balakrishna, and Boyapati Sreenu were divided over budget and remuneration questions, resulting in a delay of the shoot.
