Daniel Craig’s Knives Out turned out to be a blockbuster hit across the world and the production house, Lionsgate, is now gearing up to make a sequel to the film. Earlier, there were only speculations about a possible sequel, but Lionsgate has officially confirmed that it is in the works.

Knives Out got three Golden Globe Nominations (Best Motion Picture, Best Actress, and Best Actor) and an Academy Award Nomination for best screenplay.

Director Rian Johnson earlier hinted that he would be glad to expand the Knives Out universe on the day the Oscar nominations were out. He said, “I had such a good time making it, such a great time working with Daniel, and now just seeing that audiences are responding to it, the idea of continuing it seems like it would just be a blast. But there’s a lot that has to happen before that can happen, first and foremost being writing a script. So, we’ll see.”

Other than Daniel Craig, Knives Out stars Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Michael Shannon in the lead roles.
