Rick Moranis to not return for Honey, I Shrunk The Kids reboot

CE Features

While it was rumoured that Rick Moranis might be part of a Honey, I Shrunk The Kids reboot, Disney has refuted all such speculations. The studio has ‘flatly denied’ that the actor has been in touch with it, according to reports.

Rick Moranis played the eccentric scientist Wayne Szalinksi in all the three parts of the franchise.

However, there is still a possibility of a reboot happening. Speculation suggests that this reboot might be called Shrunk, featuring a grown-up Nick, the son of Wayne Szalinski. The original film’s director Joe Johnson, had also mentioned in December 2019, that he was in talks with the studio for the reboot.

Notably, Disney + has a line-up of reboots including Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Cheaper By the Dozen, Home Alone, and The Parent Trap.
