Priya Bhavani Shankar has been roped in to play the female lead in Rudhran, which stars Raghava Lawrence as the male lead. The announcement was made today on the occasion of the Monster actor's birthday. 

Rudhran is being produced by Kathiresan, under his Five Star banner, known for bankrolling films like Polladhavan and Jigarthanda. 

Rudhran will have music by GV Prakash Kumar. 

Priya was recently announced as part of Simbu-Gautham Karthik's Pathu Thala, the Tamil remake of the Kannada hit Mufti. The actor has a slew of films in hand including Indian 2, Oh Mana Penney, Kuruthi Aattam, Bommai, Kalathil Sandhippom, and an untitled film with Ashok Selvan.

She recently made her digital debut with the series Time Enna Boss, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
