A day after wrapping up the shoot of Atrangi Re, director Aanand L Rai has tested positive for COVID-19. In a post, Aanand revealed he is not feeling any symptoms but has quarantined himself as per instructions. He also requested people who have come in contact with him to get themselves quarantined.

Aanand wrote, “I have tested COVID positive today. Just wanted to inform everyone that I don't feel any symptoms and feel fine. I'm quarantining as instructed by authorities. Anyone who has come in contact with me recently is advised to quarantine and follow government protocols. Thank you for your support and blessing.”

Atrangi Re stars Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. The film was wrapped up on Wednesday in Delhi. Portions of the film were also shot in Agra, Varanasi and Madurai. It is expected to be released in 2021.
