Earlier today, actor Ram Charan announced on social media that he has tested positive for Covid-19. The 35-year-old actor revealed that he is asymptomatic and is now under home quarantine.

"I have tested positive for COVID-19. No symptoms and quarantined and home. Hope to heal soon and come out stronger," wrote Ram Charan on Twitter.

Further, he has also requested everyone who came in contact with him in the last few days to get tested. "Request all that have been around me in the past couple of days to get tested. More updates on my recovery soon."

Earlier in November, Charan's father and actor Chiranjeevi too announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19. However, after a couple of days, the Syeraa Narasimha Reddy actor revealed that he was Covid-19 negative as his first test was the result of a faulty RT PCR kit.

Ram Charan has been working on SS Rajamouli's RRR, where he plays the younger version of iconic freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju. He is also playing an important role in the Chiranjeevi-starrer Acharya.
