We had earlier reported that Jaggesh is joining hands with Guruprasad for Ranganayaka. This was finally made official on Monday, with the commencement of the project.

The actor took to his Twitter handle to announce the film, adding that it was launched with a Brahmi muhurath at Raghavendra Swamy temple, Basavanagudi.

The two, who had previously collaborated on Matta and Eddelu Manjunatha, are now coming together for a humourours subject.

Kannada film lovers expressed their happiness on social media about the duo teaming up again.

Produced by Vikhyath Chitra, the shooting of the film will likely begin in mid-January. The team is said to be coming up with a huge palace-like set in a studio in Bengaluru, where the shooting will commence.

While Jaggesh will play the lead role, Anoop Seelin will compose the music. However, there is no official information about the female lead and the rest of the cast and crew.

Notably, Jaggesh will also be seen in Totapuri, a film directed by Vijayaprasad and produced by KA Suresh, which will be out in two parts.
