Shilpa Shetty to make Kannada film debut with Sugar Factory

The film directed by Deepak Aras also stars Krishna, Sonal Monteiro and Adhvithi Shetty in the lead

We reported earlier that Deepak Aras’ upcoming comedy entertainer Sugar Factory, starring Krishna, will feature three female leads. While Sonal Monteiro and Adhvithi Shetty were already cast in two of these roles, the latest actor to join the project is Shilpa Shetty, who is set to make her Kannada film debut with the project. She is known for her work in Kannada serials and Tulu films. 

With the lead cast set, Deepak Aras plans to start the project on January 28, and the first schedule will begin in Bengaluru. Sugar Factory marks Deepak's second directorial venture after Manasology.

Sugar Factory is being produced by Girish R under the Balamani Productions banner. It has dialogues written by director Chethan Kumar, who will also be penning the lyrics to one of the seven tracks in the film. Yogaraj Bhat and Jayanth Kaikini will also be writing lyrics for the album, which has music composed by Kabir Rafi. Santhosh Rai Pathaje will be handling the cinematography.
